About Bournewood Hospital – Brookline
Bournewood Hospital is a trusted treatment center for addiction and mental health in Brookline, Massachusetts. They have inpatient treatment for people who need care around the clock and a partial hospitalization program for people who do need active treatment but don’t need to live there.
This Brookline hospital treats teens ages 12-18 and adults ages 18 and older. Every client gets a custom treatment plan plus you’ll have meetings every week to talk about your plan and make sure it fits what you need. Programs have a lot of group therapy but they also have trauma therapy, addiction education, and medication management. The staff makes sure your family will be involved in your treatment too so you’ll have a strong and informed support system when you go home.
There are a couple features of the Bournewood Hospital that are especially interesting. First, they just opened a new 12 bed adult inpatient center. With only 11 other clients, you’ll be able to get plenty of attentive and personalized care. Second, they have a special partial hospitalization program for LGBTQIA+ clients who have drug or alcohol addiction and co-occurring disorders (meaning mental health issues along with substance use disorder). There aren’t many places like this so it can make sure these clients feel safe and accepted while they get the care they need.
