About Boxwood Recovery Center – Culpeper
Located in Culpeper, Virginia, is the Boxwood Recovery Center. This is a residential treatment center that serves men and women who are working through a substance abuse disorder. They provide comprehensive care to help you build skills and maintain your sobriety.
They have programs for pregnant women, including those using intravenous drugs or have an HIV/AIDS diagnosis. If you’ve been pregnant for at least six months, however, you won’t be able to receive services through the program.
They accept Medicaid. Fees are determined by the referring Community Services Board. You can also receive coverage for care through a probation or parole agency or financial assistance from SARPOS.
To begin receiving services, you must be drug and alcohol free and medically stable. There are drug screenings throughout your admission to ensure all clients comply. The programming lasts 28 days, but this time can be extended if a request by the Community Services Board is made or if you require more care.
This recovery facility operates out of a very modern building that still has a somewhat clinical feeling. Inside, you’ll find a relaxing environment that has community spaces, comfortable bedrooms, and spaces where you can get to know the other residents.
Despite their program having a somewhat rigid structure, you’ll find that you’re supported through person-focused wraparound care. The treatment team is very supportive and helps you identify personal recovery goals and outline ways you can reach those goals.
