Medication will be prescribed to you to eliminate withdrawal symptoms and intense drug cravings. You’ll receive a personalized treatment plan, schedule group therapy sessions, and review other medical services needed. BrightView also helps you address immediate needs like housing, food, and clothing.
This part of treatment helps set you up for long-term sobriety success. In group and individual counseling sessions you’ll participate in education, peer support, and cognitive behavioral therapy. You’ll also identify life stressors and triggers while learning how to navigate them. Continuing care is recommended to stay on top of all symptoms of addiction.
According to their website, BrightView says that after 90 days in the program, individuals report more than a 50% decrease in alcohol consumption. Program participants also report a one third decrease in emergency room visits after three months and a 50% decrease after one year. I find it interesting BrightView also reports its clients experience a 50% increase in engagement with regular medical providers, like primary care.
