Using FDA-approved medications such as methadone helps ease cravings and prevent relapse for people dealing with opioid addiction. Medical staff may administer or prescribe these medications for clients. BHG offers various medication types and ways of administering them to best suit each client.

The core component of substance abuse treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy. Clients will participate in individual counseling, group therapy and possibly family counseling. In these sessions led by trained counselors, clients will learn to manage triggers without using drugs.
Additional supports such as parenting and workplace training or legal or social services can be added to an individual’s treatment plan depending on their needs.
