About CADT – Intensive Outpatient Treatment – Duluth

CADT – Intensive Outpatient Treatment is a drug and alcohol rehab facility in Duluth, Minnesota. They treat people with substance use disorder and alcohol use disorder.

They provide detox and withdrawal management programs at this facility. They also offer an opioid treatment program here.

They will give you a medical and mental health exam when you arrive. You will answer questions about your medical history as well as your substance use. If you do not have insurance, they may help you get it through the MNsure website.

The detox center they have is coed and offers 40 beds. They provide medically assisted pain management to people whose withdrawal symptoms are too strong for them to bear. The medically trained staff will monitor your vital signs many times a day.

All staff members have a Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 waiver which lets them offer medications to ease your withdrawal. They will give you some training on the effects of alcohol on your body. Your case worker can also refer you to a residential treatment center once you have stabilized.

They welcome people who have HIV and AIDS. They treat pregnant clients here as well.

They also offer the Clearpath opioid treatment program. It provides medically assisted treatment and administration with medications such as methadone.

Clients will also have psychosocial group therapy at this center. This allows you to talk through the issues and challenges of addiction recovery with others who are in your shoes.

Medical and pharmacy students come here to study SUD treatment. They have a clinical team that does community outreach and education about substances. They provide internships to students who are studying to be SUD counselors. Clearpath is considered a model for therapists who work with incarcerated clients.

They offer inpatient and outpatient care. If you need a high level of care but are unable to get away for a residential program, you can attend their intensive inpatient program and come in several times a week.

I liked the fact that they offer therapy for gambling addiction. People who are addicted to substances often find they have other addiction issues.

12-Step

12 step programs such as Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous are support group style programs for individuals who are experiencing alcohol or substance use disorder. At Evoke they use a holistic model of addiction care that includes using 12 step programs. These programs are an integral part of most relapse prevention plans and provide continued support and accountability that support sobriety.

24-Hour Clinical Care

24 hour clinical care provides close medical supervision for individuals in the early stages of recovery. Medical professionals monitor individuals around the clock for complications and provide immediate intervention when needed.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Intensive Outpatient
