About Casa Esperanza – Latinas y Ninos Center – Boston
Casa Esperanza is a bilingual and bicultural behavioral health center. They provide free support to the Latino community in Massachusetts in both English and Spanish. Their Latinas y Niños program is a co-occurring substance use and mental health residential treatment center for women and their children. It is located in Boston.
They offer treatment, support and a peer community to help women chart a path forward for their recovery and wellbeing.
Latinas y Niños offers treatment for pregnant and postpartum women as well as mothers with children under 10 years old.
This residence has beds for single women and family rooms that accommodate women and their children. I like that clients are able to get residential recovery treatment without being separated from her children. Staff also help mothers with family support services like helping her reunify with children and will also arrange visitations.
All services are trauma-informed and tailored to meet the needs of each woman. You’ll work with your care team to design a personal care plan. You’ll work on building life skills, gaining your independence and improving your parenting skills.
Latinas y Niños enables women to overcome their addiction and stabilize their mental health challenges. They provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as well as individual and group therapy.
I appreciate that they also offer comprehensive case management and aftercare planning services here. Each resident gets access to medical and psychiatric evaluations and assessments as well as on-site stabilization and monitoring.
Casa Esperanza will also connect you with referrals to other community resources and services you may need.
