About Casita – Yakima
Casita is a long term pregnant and parenting women’s program for those recovering from substance addiction. The treatment modality is based on the 12-step model with a focus on spiritual recovery. Casita is located at Yakima, Washington.
The program offers individualized, fun substance-free activities, Family Focus program, tobacco free environments, art therapy, anger management and an on-site mental health counselor to meet’s mother counseling needs. They accept patients who are currently under medication assisted treatment with Suboxone or Methadone, and other recovery methods.
Long Term Pregnant and Parenting Women’s Programs (PPW) at Casita are a unique opportunity for mothers to experience and participate in treatment exclusively designed for mothers during the early parenting years. In order to participate in these programs, one must be pregnant or have the ability of parenting a child under the age 5. Each mom has the opportunity to have one child, sometimes two, placed with her in treatment while the parent establishes recovery, the family can heal and rebuild for a bright and hopeful future.
