About Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Scranton – Hazleton
One of their substance use disorder (SUD) programs is their transitional housing program for veterans who are homeless. The facility is called St. Francis Commons. They give veterans experiencing homelessness a safe and secure place to stay while also helping them to set goals related to challenges like addiction recovery and developing a career. If you’re eligible for the program you can stay for up to 24 months.
Another SUD program is their Catholic Youth Center. This facility is for kids and teenagers and offers ways to foster healthy development. This includes a drug and alcohol prevention program and life skills training to help teenagers prevent addiction and create a healthy foundation for their lives.
Along with their programs that directly serve addiction recovery this organization has an abundance of support services that can help your recovery too. They can help you establish a stable and positive new life in sobriety through things like housing assistance and case management and legal assistance. They even help with things like immigration. They can also help you manage your finances and apply for programs like social security and Medicare.
