Cayuga Counseling Services is an outpatient counseling center in Auburn, New York. It’s basically a typical counseling center where you have individual sessions based on whatever it is that you want to work on with your therapist. That includes drug and alcohol addiction.
While most of the services at this treatment center are individual counseling, they do have some other treatments and programs too. One is group counseling, so you can meet with peers who are going through something similar to you like addiction. This lets you become part of the recovery community while also working through the challenges of recovery with others who are going through the same thing.
They have family counseling here as well, so you and your family can work on healing some of the damage that addiction has caused. You and your loved ones can learn how to come together as a family to strengthen your recovery.
One of the more unique things I noticed that this treatment center offers is a variety of diversion programs through the court system. If your addiction has landed you in legal trouble like a DUI or drug charges, you could be sentenced to mandatory treatment which this counseling center may be able to fulfill.
Clients have a lot of positive feedback about this treatment center. They say that the therapists are kind and knowledgeable and that all of the staff treats them with warmth and respect. There are some clients, though, who say that there’s a lot of turnover among the therapists here so when you connect with a therapist you like there’s no guarantee that they’ll stay there.
