About Cedar Grove – Residential – Murfreesboro
Cedar Grove, located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, offers specialized care to sexually reactive and sexually abusive males, ages 11 to 17, who also struggle with behavioral health issues. This program utilizes a community approach to healing in conjunction with cognitive restructuring and counseling.
Cedar Grove offers residential treatment.
The residential program at Cedar Grove is for young men who struggle with behavioral misconduct and who need assistance by first removing them from their environment. The program emphasizes cognitive restructuring and therapy, along with contingency management. Trauma therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy are provided. Psychosexual assessments, psychological evaluations, psychiatric services, social skills training, relapse prevention skills, educational training, student work program participation, recreational activities, family support and home visits, and assistance with aftercare planning are all provided.
Aftercare programming is for individuals who have successfully gone through a treatment program but who desire or need continual support once returning home. These programs often include alumni groups, group therapy, 12 Step meetings, SMART meetings, and individual therapy. The purpose is to provide a safe space to continuously work on recovery. Continued care with the appropriate therapist is encouraged.
