As a part of providing personalized care to clients, CAT matches their treatment settings and services to an individual’s specific strengths, needs and problems. They offer inpatient detox, residential treatment, and various outpatient services.
I like that this facility provides a family education group free of charge. This group gives families the opportunity to discuss various topics related to addiction to better understand it.
In CAT’s short term residential treatment, the services available to clients are 12 Step meetings, individual and group therapy, and educational sessions. They’ll get educated by counselors on stress management, relapse prevention and the effects of alcohol and drug abuse. Patients will typically spend a month in this program.
In some cases, the beginning of a patient’s treatment will be inpatient detox. The facility offers medically monitored detox, where clients are given 24/7 care. The medical detox typically lasts about three to seven days but may be shorter or longer depending on the client’s progress. Medications available to reduce withdrawal symptoms include naltrexone, Suboxone and Vivitrol.
The intensive outpatient program is a 90-day treatment option where clients will receive individual counseling once a week and group counseling three times a week. An additional outpatient service provided is the Recovery Peer Group. Clients participate in a group that’s led by a certified professional who has lived the recovery experience. Patients will need to be enrolled in individual counseling services in order to participate in the recovery peer group.
