About Center For Change – Lakewood
Center for Change of Lakewood, Colorado is a drug and alcohol treatment center licensed by the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health and the Department of Human Services. They provide DMV required education for those convicted of a DWAI or DUI in the state of Colorado as well as for out of state offenders. All services are conducted over Zoom and enrollment is through email. Payment is required prior to treatment. Morning, afternoon, and evening groups are available.
They offer Levels I and II DUI education, lasting 12 hours over three days or 24 hours over 12 weeks. Level II can then lead into Level II Therapy, a series of different therapy tracks lasting anywhere from 21 to 43 weeks. In addition, they provide groups for anger management, parenting, trauma, cognitive restructuring, relapse prevention, and moral reconation therapy. Individual counseling is also an option.
Treatment through Zoom means you can receive your mandated education without having to take a break from your life. They offer many options for reinstatement of your license, as well as assistance with DMV hearings and ignition interlock requirements. They can provide an affidavit of enrollment to verify that you’re working toward your legal requirements.
Clients say staff are understanding and caring, and that they want to help you to live your best life. They say that the Center for Change is unlike other treatment programs they have been through. However, some question the professionality of the front desk staff, and mention that there are occasionally issues with not returning phone calls.
