About Center for Discovery Plano – Plano
Located in Plano, Texas, the Center for Discovery Plano provides eating disorder treatment to individuals between the ages of 9 and 18. Their residential treatment center is LGBTQ-inclusive. It is important to note that this location is not an alcohol and drug rehab center.
The residential program is for individuals who need 24/7 supervision. Evidence-based treatment interventions, life skills training, nutritional support, mindful movement, yoga, individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducational classes are provided. Individuals will learn how to identify their triggers, build self-confidence, and learn effective ways to communicate their needs.
Upon completion of the residential program, individuals may choose to continue treatment to more effectively manage their mental health. This commonly takes the form of ongoing counseling, participation in alumni groups, and participation in community self-help groups.
