About Center for Family Development – North Building – Eugene
In downtown Eugene, Oregon you’ll find the Center for Family Development (CFD), a member of the Behavioral Health Resource Network of Lane County. CFD’s mission is to serve their community by giving them access to critical mental health and social resources, which include several valuable outpatient interventions and treatments for those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction.
As a part of their commitment to care, they can vary the costs of their services according to a sliding scale for individuals who qualify for financial assistance.
One of the best parts of CFD’s care programs is their MAT service. The medications they prescribe and manage for their clients include Suboxone and Vivitrol, and their MAT program is set up to help people with opiate or alcohol addictions.
In addition to the medications, participants in the MAT program get regular outpatient care which includes individual therapy, group therapy, skills training, and assistance with legal concerns if such help is necessary. Because they also serve the community by providing mental health services, they’re more than equipped to provide and treat a dual diagnosis. CFD also employs drug testing to help keep clients accountable within the recovery process.
CFD also has a youth recovery program where they focus on preventing and treating substance or alcohol addictions in adolescents. Their staff provides age appropriate counseling to teens struggling with addictions while also collaborating with their clients’ schools and the legal system if necessary to tailor their care to clients’ exact needs. This program also includes workshops for parents so that the teens’ families are equipped to help where they can.
