About Center for Human Development – La Grande
Center for Human Development is a nonprofit health organization that offers mental health and addiction services to adults and adolescents in La Grande, Oregon. They strive to help individuals find healing and achieve personal growth, with trained professionals guiding you toward solutions for your addiction struggles. Their outpatient treatment programs feature services such as medications for addiction treatment, education groups and counseling. Other services they provide include DUII programs, anger management and treatment for problem gambling.
The education provided in your group sessions will focus on relapse prevention, building effective relationships and the effects of substances. Learning about building effective relationships will help you establish a support system that can encourage you throughout your recovery journey. You’ll also be able to receive encouragement and support from your peers in group sessions.
Some clients may need to have assistance with relieving their withdrawal symptoms through medication. Through their medication for addiction treatment service, Center for Human Development can provide Suboxone or a monthly injection of Sublocade. As you’re taking your medication, counselors will work with you in group and individual sessions to help you better understand your addiction.
I like that this facility also offers DUII Treatment and Education services. Clients who’ve had a diversion agreement or have been convicted of driving under the influence of intoxicants will receive screening, education and substance use disorder treatment.
La Grande offers a lot of opportunities to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Outside of your treatment sessions, you can spend time hiking in the Blue Mountains or enjoy camping in the Bird Track Springs Campground.
