Central East Alcoholism and Drug Council – Adolescent Residential offers intensive treatment to provide adolescents with the knowledge and skills necessary to live drug-free lifestyles. Central East Alcoholism and Drug Council – Adolescent Residential is located at Lerna, Illinois.
CEAD Council’s Mission is to provide a comprehensive array of services for behavioral health promotion and substance abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment through an ongoing process of needs assessment, remediation implementation and systematic evaluation of accomplishments.
The treatment structure includes individual counseling, group and family therapy, educational groups, and recreational, social, and outdoor therapeutic activities. In addition, they provide life skills, problem solving, and gender specific groups as well as activities that foster leadership and mentoring. Building on their history of developing innovative services, the Adolescent Program now augments traditional treatment approaches with equestrian therapy. The facility is located on a 40+ acre rural site that gives multiple opportunities for experiential therapeutic activities that are age appropriate and enhance recovery.
