About Centrec Care Inc – St. Louis
Founded in 1986, Centrec Care of St. Louis, Missouri, is an outpatient drug and alcohol rehab for adults and teens. Accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Missouri Departments of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, they emphasize the importance of family both in treatment atmosphere and involvement in the recovery process. Patients reported that this nonthreatening approach allows them to relax and be comfortable in a homelike setting.
They offer medically supervised detox through their Ambulatory Detoxification Program, as well as Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) with Suboxone and Vivitrol. Running seven days a week, their program is the only one in the St. Louis area that provides detoxification services through the weekend.
Clients also participate in their “A 12 step Journey to Wellness” program. This is an educational program designed to build the skills necessary to living a sober lifestyle. It centers on helping the whole person, body and mind.
It helps that St. Louis has some neat attractions to supplement your recovery in a wholesome way. Centrec Care is in a commercial part of town, but local rec centers aren’t too far away. Check out the Old Farm Swimming Pool and the Community Pool, which are within driving distance.
Their approach is not to preach blame, but instead to focus on education and self awareness. Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) and partial hospitalization program (PHP) do this through a combination of individual case management and interactive group therapy. Patients say they take the time to learn a client’s entire life story, so as to better understand their problems and co-occurring disorders. Evening sessions are also available for their outpatient services.
They claim a relapse ratio of only 8-12 percent upon successful completion of their program.
