About Chabad Residential Treatment Center – Los Angeles
Chabad Residential Treatment Center is a facility in Los Angeles, California, where clients can receive inpatient alcohol and drug addiction treatment. The treatment center has over 40 years of experience offering substance abuse recovery services. The organization desires to help clients become free from their addictions, form healthy relationships, connect to their spirituality, and build fulfilling lives.
They believe a client’s substance abuse challenges are the result of deeper social and internal issues. The approach they take in providing treatment involves clinical work, 12 Steps, spirituality, and improved wellness practices. Cognitive behavioral therapy and development therapy are a few of the therapeutic approaches that are administered to patients.
The residential program involves daily sessions of individual and group meetings, spiritual and recreational activities and physical fitness. A typical morning will start with breakfast, followed by prayer and meditation. Clients will participate in a process group and a spirituality or recovery group. After individuals have lunch at noon, they will have individual therapy, acting and artistic expression for recovery and physical fitness. Individual therapy will focus on topics such as healing trauma from the past that may be causing addiction, gaining skills to balance emotions and cognitive therapy.
By the evening, dinner will be served and a 12 Step meeting will occur afterward. Additional treatment sessions at the facility include family therapy, motivational groups and volunteering options.
The aftercare program provides on site sober living homes for three-month graduates of the program. The cost of staying in these homes is low, and there may be some grants available to help clients begin building a stable life for themselves. Ongoing counseling is provided along with alumni groups and networking.
