About Changes Outpatient Wellness Center – Santa Barbara
Mission Harbor Behavioral Health is a private mental health and substance abuse treatment facility. They offer partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive (IOP) and general outpatient (OP) treatment programs for adults and teens. The multidisciplinary staff uses a multi-modality approach, creating unique treatment plans for each client. You’ll find ‘em out in Santa Barbara, California.
Their PHP is an intensive form of outpatient care. Clients attend treatment for six hours a day, five days per week. The goal of treatment is to help clients stabilize through a structured schedule of recovery activities. Treatment may include assessments, psychotherapy, medication assisted treatment (MAT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), case management services, support groups, peer support, and family therapy.
The IOP is a step down from the PHP in terms of intensity. The schedule is more flexible and removes some of the structure of the treatment environment.
Mission Harbor Behavioral Health’s outpatient program is designed for teenage clients. Families are encouraged to join the client in treatment and participate in education and therapy groups.
MAT is the application of FDA-approved medication as a treatment component. Clients approved for MAT have their medication use monitored to ensure safety.
Aftercare planning helps clients who have completed the program transition out of care by offering recovery support. This is done through case management, goal setting, education and vocational support, legal support, family programs, financial support, and community-building services.
Their programs are accredited by The Joint Commission.
Mission Harbor Behavioral Health accepts many major insurance plans, including Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, Beacon, and Humana. Clients are encouraged to confirm their coverage, as out of network benefits may vary.
