About Charak Center for Health and Wellness – Mentor
The Charak Center for Health and Wellness is a community treatment center in Mentor, Ohio that’s dedicated to building a healthier community for their neighbors. Their drug addiction program is working toward that goal one person at a time.
The substance abuse program here starts with an intensive outpatient program where you attend treatment three times a week for several hours each day. Your treatment includes mostly group therapy but some individual therapy too. They also use medications that can help with addiction recovery like Suboxone and Vivitrol. These can reduce your cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms. Throughout your intensive outpatient program there are family group therapy sessions too.
After your intensive outpatient program, you’ll taper down your treatment. You’ll have aftercare group therapy twice a week for 10 weeks and then once a week for 10 weeks. You’ll also get monthly therapy sessions during those 20 weeks of aftercare.
I was glad to see that this treatment center has mental health treatment, too, because this is so commonly part of addiction. They can help with conditions like depression and PTSD and much more.
One thing clients remark about is how friendly and welcoming the team here is. Their only complaint is typically that the group therapy hours aren’t always convenient, but other than this they feel heard and treated with respect and positivity.
