About CHD Outpatient Behavioral Health Services – Orange
CHD Outpatient Behavioral Health Services is a substance use and mental health disorder treatment center. Additionally, they have youth welfare, LGBTQ+, and dual diagnosis support programs. They have multiple locations, including the clinic on West Main Street in Orange, Massachusetts. This center accepts private health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and military insurance such as TRICARE.
The clinic has support groups for adults and teens, including a specialty online group for LGBTQ+ teens ages 13-18. This is a safe space for teenagers to connect with others in the LGBTQ+ community. Peers support each other and discuss mental health, bullying, gender expression and other topics important to them.
Many clients with addictions deal with co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD or anxiety. CHD addresses your mental health challenges as you’re working to achieve sobriety. Some of the special issues dealt with in therapy include marriage and divorce issues, LGBTQ+ and gender concerns, parenting challenges and trauma.
If you’re dealing with an opioid addiction MAT can be a life saving treatment. MAT helps you comfortably detox from opioids while still managing your daily life. MAT reduces the cravings that make detox so difficult. When appropriate, you can taper off the medications, though many MAT medications are safe for prolonged use.
One of the unique aspects of their program is recovery coaching. Recovery coaches have lived the experience of addiction and understand the challenges of attaining and maintaining sobriety. They provide a person in your corner to help you achieve sobriety, improve your mental health and live your best life.
