Cherokee Health Systems provides behavioral health treatment in Morristown, Tennessee. They offer a full range of mental health services using a whole-person approach to treatment that addresses the mind and the body. They work with you to develop personal health goals and then create a treatment plan to help you reach those goals. During the program you’ll also receive help with work related resources such as developing a resume and completing job applications.
They provide substance use disorder treatment for adults that includes individual, group, family and couple psychotherapy. Their structured outpatient treatment plan is provided over Zoom and lasts for eight weeks following an abstinence model. This means that before entering the program you must go through a withdrawal program and achieve sobriety.
You also have access to a health recovery group which is a peer led program that helps you gain wellness skills and supports your recovery journey. Peer leaders must have personal experience and complete training by the Department of Mental Health to be certified as peer support leaders. Peer support can help meet some of your needs for substance use disorder recovery.
They also provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) if you are recovering from an opioid use disorder. Medications might include buprenorphine and naltrexone which are used alongside behavioral health services. You must be 18 years and over to be eligible for the program.
