About Clara Martin Center – Bradford
The world’s first UNESCO City of Film, Bradford, Vermont features the Clara Martin Center. Established in 1966, this outpatient facility serves adults, youth and families across 34 small towns. You can access specialized programs and proven therapeutic interventions to start or continue your recovery journey.
With outpatient care you can live at home and attend treatment on a schedule that works for you. They provide multiple group sessions focused on essential recovery topics like early recovery, co-occurring disorders, trauma and more. These groups can help you understand and address the underlying factors in addiction and gain coping skills.
What stands out most to me is their justice involved programs. They’re available fewer than 20 minutes away at their Wilder and Randolph locations. These tracks offer specialized care for adults who were or are currently involved with the corrections system. Each offers assessment and treatment services to help you successfully re-enter the community and reduce recidivism.
Of these services, their Reentry Case Management really stood out. They understand that transitioning to life after incarceration comes with many hurdles. You can access assistance and referrals for benefits, housing, childcare, education, employment and much more. You’ll benefit from personalized care that provides the tools to set you up for success in recovery.
Another great feature I noticed was their Impaired Driver Rehabilitation Program. If you have drug or alcohol offenses then you can participate in this track to reinstate your license. You can learn more about the risks of driving under the influence and gain significant safety insights.
Lastly, their trauma focused group also caught my eye. You can participate in the Seeking Safety Group to overcome co-occurring trauma or PTSD. They offer a safe, gender specific space to learn more about trauma and addiction among peers who resonate with your experiences.
