About Clay Behavioral Health Center – County Road – Middleburg
Located in Middleburg, Florida, the nonprofit Clay Behavioral Health Center provides outpatient drug and alcohol services to adults and teens. Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited, they offer same day appointments. They also have a mobile response team for behavioral health issues that operates 24/7. They believe that addiction is a disease, not a moral failing or lack of willpower, so they take a healthcare mindset and will treat you with dignity and respect at every step of your recovery.
As an outpatient treatment center, this clinic offers individual counseling and group counseling to help you recover from addiction in a way that balances your treatment with your life. They offer dual diagnosis services, aftercare, and community education prevention programs as well.
In addition they have HIV education in regards to its relationship to substance use, and a parenting program in both group and individual settings. Drug Courts are a coordinated effort with courts and law enforcement to offer an alternative to incarceration. Clay County felony probationers can take advantage of their Department of Corrections services, including assessment, treatment, and referrals.
Children and teen services include intervention, outpatient and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and community education. They also collaborate with the Clay County School Board and the Clay Action Coalition. They have behavioral therapists in 22 of the county’s schools, and operate the “Be The Change” program in local high schools.
This treatment center also runs the Bannerman Substance Abuse Program for adolescents, an alternative school setting aimed at reducing substance use in schools and facilitating a return to mainstream education. Young people with a dual diagnosis of co-occurring mental health conditions and substance use disorder will be assigned a substance use coordinator. Children or adolescents with significant substance use issues may be eligible for adult services.
