About Clearview Recovery – Prairie City
Clearview Recovery is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Prairie City, Iowa. They offer treatment to women with substance use disorder (SUD). They accept single women and women with children. Many of the women they treat have lost custody of their children due to drug addiction. The center accepts Medicaid and self pay options.
This is a residential treatment center, and treatment begins with completion of an intake form. They have some limits on what you can bring with you. For example, for the first one to two week orientation period, you will remain phone and computer free. They also don’t permit spaghetti strap tank tops or ultrashort shorts. They do allow you to bring cigarettes.
The primary goal of the center is to get women on the right track for long term recovery. They will help you with vocational skills as well as job interview preparation. They will give you guidance on how to keep your job.
You will have both group and individual therapy here. Participation in 12 Step meetings is strongly encouraged. You will also have family therapy sessions where your children and other family members can talk to you about how your substance use affects them.
The recovery center has been around for almost 20 years. They have a team of alcohol and drug counselors who are trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and other treatment methods often used in rehab. Some of the counselors have struggled with SUD themselves.
Former clients have said that this facility really helped them to maintain long term recovery. They say that the therapist not only helped them to see their own self worth but helped them to regain custody of their kids.
