About Clinica Family Health and Wellness – Longmont

Clinica Family and Wellness used to be known as Mental Health Partners, and before that, it was the Mental Health Center of Boulder County. They offer integrated healthcare to encompass medical, dental, and mental wellness and recovery services. This includes substance use recovery care.

The clinic focuses on uninsured and underinsured clients as well as those with severe mental illness. They also accept private insurance in addition to Medicare and Medicaid. There are multiple programs for children, teens, adults, and older adults. The clinic is located at 515 Coffman Street in Longmont, Colorado in the St. Vrain Community Hub.

The Coffman Street location is an outpatient clinic less than a half mile from charming downtown Longmont with its mix of modern style and historic character. The clinic is convenient to major cities such as Boulder and Denver.

They offer specialty group therapy sessions and education throughout the day. Some of the groups include dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), women’s substance use DBT, and men’s substance use DBT. The DBT groups teach you about how to use this therapy to improve your ability to navigate difficult problems and situations.

There’s also an early recovery group that helps those who are new to sober living. There are gender specific groups for men and women learning to navigate the relationship between trauma and substance use. Clients learn to live consistent with their morals and values in the moral reconation therapy group.

This clinic also offers adult wellness groups throughout the day. In the Better Boundaries class, adults read and discuss the book, Better Boundaries, to learn how to effectively set limits on the demands of others in your life.

The Tapping Into Your Creativity class is an art class involving various mediums. Clients visit local art displays while connecting with others. There’s recreation time and a virtual wellness group also offered at this location.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
