About Colonial House Inc – York
Although they started in 1969, Colonial House – Inpatient Male Facility is a relatively new center in York, Pennsylvania. They offer inpatient treatment for adult men who have alcohol and/or substance addiction.
Their 90 day program is designed to give you the time and aid to maintain recovery. You’ll attend Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings every day and have the opportunity to begin practicing 12 Step recovery. Some additional programs include developing healthy emotions and working with counselors on a group or solo basis. Your family will also be invited to be involved with educational workshops.
The facility also has plenty of amenities including a dining hall, a rec center, and 2.5 acres of land for outdoors therapy. Part of your daily routine will be to do chores, do projects around the center, and work on social skills. That way, when you graduate, you’ll have a strong start for a full recovery.
