About Community Health Services – Phoenix
Community Health Services (CHS) is a behavioral health and substance abuse treatment program in Phoenix, Arizona, a short distance northeast of The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix. CHS provides services to those involved in the legal system and correctional community. They serve juvenile and adult clients.
Community Health Services programs serve to support, educate, and treat clients who have behavioral and addiction struggles. They help deliver positive outcomes for clients through comprehensive, wide-ranging services that are client-focused and individualized. Services are provided on an outpatient basis.
Outpatient treatment programs are provided at the facility and/or other locations throughout the community. Clients visit with (or are visited by) their care team on a regular schedule to discuss their needs and participate in treatment. Outpatient treatment is typically considered a low-intensity level of care, but court-ordered programs such as these are more intensive.
Clients receive counseling to better understand the causes of addiction, their triggers, and how to use healthy coping skills. CHS also provides monitoring and drug testing on an outpatient basis. In addition to substance abuse and behavioral health programs, they also have treatment for sex addiction, anger management, domestic violence groups, and specialized programs for juvenile offenders.
When comparing rehabilitation programs, clients should first confirm coverage with their insurance provider. This step is helpful because in network and out of network benefits can vary.
