About Conceptual Counseling – Saint Paul

Conceptual Counseling is an outpatient substance use treatment center in St. Paul, Minnesota. They provide high-quality, effective and individualized care for men and women struggling with substance use issues. This is thanks to their compassionate team of licensed counselors.

What’s particularly great about their program is that client input is heavily valued and integrated into treatment. This empowers clients to actively participate in their recovery, making treatment more effective and personally meaningful.

They’ve been delivering caring and responsive services since 1984, so you can count on them to guide you towards a chemically healthy lifestyle. They also offer court-ordered DUI/DWI services including Prime for Life education.

Conceptual Counseling is situated on East 6th Street, a few blocks from the Mississippi Riverwalk and Mears Park in downtown Saint Paul within Ramsey County. The facility is also near Interstate 94/35E for direct route access to Minneapolis, Eagan and Lino Lakes.

Flexibility is the core appeal of the outpatient treatment program provided by Conceptual Counseling. They offer evening and day therapy sessions, allowing clients to fit recovery into their daily routine without unnecessarily interfering with their job or family responsibilities.

Treatment begins with thorough biopsychosocial evaluations using the Rule 25 format and other assessment tools to better grasp the client’s substance use history, mental health status and social factors affecting recovery. Assessment helps determine the appropriate level of care and facilitates personalized care planning.

Following assessment, clients attend therapy sessions to build coping and relapse prevention strategies necessary for lasting healing. The facility offers individual and group sessions, including separate men’s and women’s sessions for more personalized care. Mixed groups are also available. Clients can benefit from small sober support meetings to build and strengthen their support network.

Conceptual Counseling has been providing DUI/DWI services for decades so they have the expertise to guide you through meeting the requisite court requirements for driver’s license reinstatement or obtaining your driving privileges via the Minnesota Ignition Interlock Program. They offer both Alcohol and Drug Awareness Education and Prime for Life Education, all geared towards helping individuals make safer choices and reduce risky behaviors.

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
