The Jewish Board – Pathway Home is located in Brooklyn, New York. Care is provided to adults 18 years and older. They also offer services for active duty military personnel and veterans. Medicaid is accepted. They will accept anyone regardless of ability to pay.
Their substance use treatment program includes counseling, skills development and relapse prevention. Medication assisted treatment is used to reduce cravings. They can also address any mental health concerns that occur alongside addiction.
Nurses are available to provide medical exams. You can also receive a referral to see medical doctors and for house assistance.
One thing I like about this program is that they provide metrocards for eligible participants. This is a great way to overcome the transportation barrier that keeps many people from getting the treatment they need.
Once you complete treatment you may also receive aftercare. These services provide ongoing support for long term success in recovery. They may include continued counseling, support groups and referrals to community resources.
