About Cornerstone – Carmichael
Alpha Oaks Cornerstone in Carmichael, California, provides substance abuse treatment for women over 18 years old. Their goal is to offer recovery services and skills that lead you to a healthier lifestyle in the future without substance use. This is a non-medical program. Detox is not available.
They offer a residential program that uses a social treatment model. You’ll learn practical habits and relationship capabilities that lead you to a life of sobriety, where substances aren’t wanted. They also encourage attendance in 12 Step meetings while you’re a resident in the program and after leaving treatment.
Personalized counseling is included in the program and will consist of group and individual sessions. You’ll also attend education groups and work on relapse prevention skills that help you avoid substance use triggers. Their counseling sessions offer intensive education on the social, physical, psychological, and spiritual effects of addiction. You’ll participate in community Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
They believe that sober living requires everyday routines. That means doing your laundry, cleaning the facility, and cooking healthy meals for the other residents. You’ll share connections and enjoy meals together.
Leisure time is available on Saturday and Sunday, so you have time to relax. The residential program includes an environment conducive to your new lifestyle and healthy choices for long-term sobriety.
