About Counseling for Change – Evansville
Counseling for Change is a rapidly expanding modern treatment facility in Evansville, Indiana that aims to help individuals from all walks of life with varying problems including addiction and co-occurring disorders. The center is known for its supportive, caring and professional staff who are wholly committed to helping individuals through substance abuse recovery.
What’s interesting about this center is that it focuses on the Matrix Program. This program is specifically designed to be used with adult patients who need an outpatient treatment program. So if you want to receive care for your addiction and don’t want to enroll in a residential program or have recently come out of one then it might be worth considering.
The Matrix Program has different levels you will experience during your journey to sobriety. During level one, you’ll be required to attend group counseling sessions twice a week usually for eight weeks. This is the most intensive part of the program where you’ll learn 12-step principles, behavioral interventions and recovery goals.
Once you complete level one then you’ll move on to aftercare. You’ll have to complete 16 sessions in group settings with written assignments. You’ll also need to attend at least two 12-step meetings during this time.
Once aftercare is finished then you’ll be in level two of the matrix Model programming. At this level, you’ll again encounter an eight-week program. While enrolled, you can expect counseling, whereby you need to complete 24 sessions and participate in group activities. This stage also requires 12-step meetings.
If you have co-occurring issues then you can still benefit from this Matrix Model program alongside the other therapies offered by the facility.
