Cowitz Indian Tribe Health and Human Services is an addiction center that offers rehab services to everyone in the community. However, if you’re a federally recognized Native American or Alaska Native, you’ll have the fees for your outpatient services completely waived.
Their treatment style incorporates techniques from Native traditions and teachings with more modern and proven therapy options. Aside from their more standard outpatient program, they also offer a more intensive outpatient program that would require more of a commitment on the patient’s part.
Their outpatient program offers an array of different services. These include individual therapy sessions, life skills groups, relapse prevention, coordination with specialty courts, child care, transportation assistance, and aftercare. Individual therapy is a proven and helpful way to get you to figure out why addiction has taken root in your life the way that it has. You’ll learn how to cope with your new sober life and how to replace negative habits with positive ones.
They also have newer methods of treatment such as moral reconation therapy, which is supposed to help raise your moral reasoning and enhance your day-to-day decision-making skills.
