About CSB of Middle Georgia – Dublin
Known for its historic downtown and bustling arts scene, Dublin, Georgia, is also home to CSB of Middle Georgia. Established in 1966, this nonprofit agency provides integrated substance use disorder, mental health, and intellectual and developmental disability services across Central Georgia. They welcome adults, youth and families, offering comprehensive outpatient care.
One great feature I noticed is they’ll always provide services regardless of your financial situation. They accept most commercial insurers, Medicaid and Medicare. If you’re uninsured or underinsured, you may be eligible for a sliding fee scale based on your family size and income. That way you can get the care you need without finances getting in the way.
Whether stepping down from a higher level of care or starting your recovery journey, their outpatient rehab offers support and encouragement as you live at home. You can access a personalized recovery and relapse prevention plan to aid in your journey. Their program emphasizes group counseling and community programs. You’ll benefit from recognizing and addressing your addiction’s contributing factors while connecting with others on similar journeys.
What stands out most to me is their RISEUP program. Just a few blocks away, this free peer support service welcomes individuals and families battling addiction. They understand that addiction is a familial disease and supporting everyone involved in your journey is most beneficial. You and your loved ones can access multiple non-clinical activities to learn more about addiction and recovery.
Of these activities, their Narcan education and distribution sessions really caught my eye. Narcan is an opioid overdose reversal medication that can save lives. I think it’s great that you’ll learn how to administer Narcan as well as access it for harm reduction. Other helpful services include private peer mentoring, employment assistance and recovery advocacy.
