About Cumberland Heights Intensive Outpatient – Gallatin
Cumberland Heights in Gallatin, Tennessee, is a 12 Step based outpatient alcohol and substance use disorder treatment facility. They serve adults 18 years and older who reside within Sumner County Tennessee.
Participation in the intensive outpatient program (IOP) is for individuals with addiction needs that do not require medication supported detox, who have stable work and home environments and are willing to change. Their programs require consent for random urine drug screening.
The IOP allows for flexibility by offering morning and evening programs 3 times per week lasting 3 hours per session. During this program men and women participate in individual and group counseling. During these sessions they work on relapse prevention through education and development of healthy coping mechanisms, stress reduction techniques and alcohol and substance use disorder understanding.
Participation in a 12 Step program is also required. Additionally, they offer programs for family and support persons. Typically, this program lasts for 28 days, but recognizing that each recovery journey is different, staff may suggest that some clients remain in treatment for longer. Aftercare participation should be considered after completion of this program.
Cumberland Heights has received the gold seal of approval from the Joint Commission. They are also ASAM Certified and are members of the NAATP.
