About Cura Inc – Oakland

CURA’s facility in Oakland, California is a sober living home for adult men. Think of this type of home as a transitional stage in your recovery. They offer a sober and supportive environment with accountability and structure where you can live while you secure a job and housing to live your new independent sober life.

Sober living homes are pretty common among rehabs especially residential rehabs as a transitional step. But what’s unique about CURA is that you don’t have to complete their residential rehab to come to this sober living home or recovery residence. Members of the community are welcome to apply too.

It’s important to note that this facility is exclusively CURA’s sober living home. Their residential treatment is at a separate location in Fremont, California. While the client feedback for the recovery residence is mixed, some clients credit this facility with keeping a roof over their heads so they can get their footing in life.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
