About Delta Behavioral Health – Wilmington
Delta Behavioral Health is in Wilmington, North Carolina. They have partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for adults and seniors. If you have any substance abuse issues, they may be able to help you.
Let’s start with their most extensive program. This is partial hospitalization, which consists of 20 hours of therapy each week. The hours are divided into blocks of four hours on Monday through Friday between 9am and 1pm. When you sign up, you’ll have sessions about mindfulness and emotional recovery. There’s also psychiatric care that’s available. These counseling sessions can take place individually or in groups. Your assigned case management team will monitor your medications as well.
Their intensive outpatient program is more flexible. You’ll meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for three hours each day for dialectical behavioral therapy. There are morning, afternoon and evening sessions. This way, you’ll spend more time with your family and community as your recovery strengthens. You’ll also attend offsite groups like AA or NA where you can get peer support. You’ll learn from others and they’ll learn from you.
Delta also has a service for seniors. Their geriatric program consists of group therapy to help you build up a network of peers. You’ll learn how to regulate your emotions and find healthy outlets for depression and anxiety without resorting to depending on drugs.
