About Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia – Kennesaw
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia is a nonprofit mental health and substance abuse clinic in Kennesaw, Georgia. They work with clients ages 10 to 21 and offer intensive inpatient treatment for alcohol and other substances. Although the clinic serves boys and girls, some of their programs are gender specific. In addition to those services, they also have a Specialty Foster Care program.
Their campus features several amenities including a playground, a tennis court, a volleyball court and a pool. The clinic also houses an accredited K 12 school called Ackerman Academy which allows clients to continue their education while receiving treatment.
As part of the inpatient program, clients can receive group, individual and family therapy. The clinic also offers substance abuse counseling and medication management. Their approach to treatment is centered around the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework which aims at addressing difficult behaviors by encouraging positive ones. Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia also provides 24-hour nurse coverage and psychiatric services.
The clinic’s overall goal is to assist young clients in leading positive and productive lives. Older clients can participate in a work readiness program that allows them to gain experience and develop job skills. At the end of the program, clients can earn a nationally recognized certificate that may help them enter the workforce. All of these programs help clients become active participants in their local communities.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia accepts Medicaid CMO, self pay and some private insurance providers. They can also work with Medicaid programs from other states.
