Dixon Social Interactive Services in Kinston, North Carolina has provided mental health, relationship and addiction treatment services to residents of North Carolina for more than two decades. Children, young adults, adults, couples, and the elderly can all find mental health services at the 658 Sussex Street office in Kinston and their three other locations in Greenville, Wilson, and Goldsboro.
Effective therapy isn’t just sitting on a couch talking about your problems and Dixon Social Interactive Services makes sure of that with music and animal therapy, motivational interviewing and transactional analysis. They also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Reaction Emotive Therapy and several group therapy programs.
Group therapy includes Intensive Outpatient Treatment and Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment for substance abuse. There is also a sex offender group treatment program as well as peer support and community support teams.
Experiential therapies such as animal therapy, play therapy and art therapy are used in conjunction with DBT, one-on-one counseling, outpatient programs and day treatment services are all available to children, youth and their families. Alcohol and Drug Prevention services along with Positive Parenting Programs and intensive in-home services help families grow and set positive goals for the family and each member of it.

Dixon Social Interactive Services does accept Medicare and Medicaid as well as most major private health insurance plans. For services not covered by insurance there are self-pay options such as a sliding fee scale, financing and payment plans.
