About Dynamite Youth Center – Midwood

For the past 50 years, Dynamic Youth Community (DYC) has been dedicated to helping teens/young adults & their families who have been dealing with drug and chemical dependency. They offer an outpatient program and a community residence. Dynamic Youth Community (DYC) is located in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, New York.

Dynamic Youth Community (DYC) understands that substance abuse does not discriminate, that no one is immune. They have been in the field of teen drug abuse since 1970, offering programs that are tailored to meet the specific needs of the youth and their families. Their approach is replacing drug use with life skills that create a full recovery.

During the stay, family issues are addressed, educational and vocational services are provided, socialization among peers in ongoing, counseling sessions and other specialty services such as medical care, recreational activities and life skills training.

Partial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m).
