About East Alabama Mental Health Center – Opelika

The Integrea Community Mental Health System is the leading provider of behavioral healthcare including substance use recovery and co-occurring disorder treatment for the East Alabama community. They offer quality, outcome oriented and cost effective treatment in a welcoming outpatient setting. Their services support people with the most serious needs using fewer resources to meet those needs. They offer discounted fee scales based on income and household size to keep treatment accessible.

Integrea Community Mental Health serves four counties in Alabama. This includes Chambers, Lee, Russell and Tallapoosa. This facility at Lambert Avenues in Opelika is the Lee County administrative office from where you can access the various services available in Lee County. This includes substance use recovery at Center Hill Drive within the same Opelika, just 1.5 miles from the administrative office.

The administrative offices also double as the adult service center with services including outpatient therapy, medication assessment and management and case management. This can particularly benefit those with co-occurring disorders.

Integrea offers outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment programs for adults with substance use issues. This program guides patients towards a lasting healing journey and promotes substance free lifestyle. Certain specialized programs are available for women as well. Outpatient services here begin with a psychosocial assessment to help the care team determine the appropriate level of care based on your unique needs. Intensive outpatient care is typically provided for patients with moderate substance use issues seeking relatively structured and intensive treatment support. Standard outpatient care is suitable for people with mild addictive behavior.

Assessment also facilitates personalized treatment planning to tailor care to your unique recovery goals. Following the assessment, you’ll attend group and individual therapy alongside psychoeducational sessions. This provides you with deeper insight into the disease of addiction, stages of recovery and relapse warning signs.
You’ll also learn the effects of substance abuse on families, communication and anger management skills and other practical coping skills that prevent relapse. Family involvement and participation are encouraged to create positive family dynamics and strengthen your copy system.

Ongoing therapeutic support is provided as you move forward in recovery. They also have services for children and adolescents affected by substance use via the Family and Children’s Services. Integrea also partners with Lee Courts to support individuals facing substance use challenges while navigating the court system.

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
