About Eastern Long IslandHospital – Inpatient – Greenport
Eastern Long Island Hospital is an acute care community hospital located in Greenport, New York. Since this is part of a large hospital system, many medical services can be obtained here like physical therapy, emergency care, gastrointestinal services, and inpatient psychiatric treatment. Their inpatient treatment program includes medical detox and residential addiction treatment. The name of this program is Quannacut, which is the Native American word for rainbow.
While in treatment you’ll experience mindfulness, evidence-based education practices, and group counseling. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) may be used to assist you with painful withdrawal symptoms and curb unwanted drug cravings. This dual diagnosis program simultaneously addresses your mental health. You’ll meet with an individual therapist to help you design an aftercare plan that meets your needs.
Eastern Long Island Hospital doesn’t stop supporting you after you finish with inpatient treatment. You’ll go on to their recovery homes that provide safe and affordable housing, as well as outpatient treatment if you’d like to continue. These homes are located on the East End of Long Island. These homes will help lead you to an independent and sober lifestyle. Each house has a peer advocate and a house manager.
While living in the home, you’ll need to abide by the rules and curfews that pertain to the home. You’ll also attend weekly house meetings. You may need to comply with random drug testing. The Quannacut recovery homes are LGBTQ+ inclusive.
