About Eaton County Counseling Center – Charlotte
The Eaton County Counseling Center is an outpatient center that helps with substance use disorder as well as mental health needs. It’s located in Charlotte, Michigan but serves clients throughout Clinton and Eaton and Ingham counties. The Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties (CMHA-CEI) operates this outpatient clinic.
There are two main types of service at this treatment center. The first is adult counseling. You’ll have counseling sessions as often as you need and they can help guide you through addiction recovery along with other mental health issues. The other service is a specialized program called Family Forward which works with families who are dealing with substance abuse and other issues to counsel and treat adults as well as kids in the differing ways they need.
CMHA-CEI has a lot of different programs and activities but one that I especially wanted to mention besides the counseling center is their prison centered substance abuse program. It’s called Integrated Treatment and Recovery Services or ITRS and it specializes in drug and alcohol addiction treatment for people who are involved with the criminal justice system.
This program has medically monitored detox and residential rehab for men along with outpatient addiction treatment. They also partner with several community health clinics to coordinate your medical care while in their program. For those who are currently incarcerated they provide crisis intervention and treatment services within several local correctional centers too.
