About Edgewater Health – Gary
For more than 50 years, Edgewater Health has served residents in Gary, Indiana. Folks there have received primary care and a pharmacy, along with mental and behavioral health care. This can include addiction and stabilization services. They’ll treat children, teens, adults, and seniors.
One specialty that’s there is a family program. Your kids and yourself can enroll in a day treatment program. This has three phases and lasts about six to nine months in total and runs every day, from 8am to 3pm. Your children get three hours of education classes and three hours of therapy. This’ll include breakfast and lunch. While they’re in school, the parents will also be busy. You’ll receive family counseling, anger management, and learn new life skills.
If you need addiction services, they have two different tracks. One track focuses on abstinence without medications. This has inpatient and outpatient options, although it focuses on outpatient care. The other has medication assisted treatment for opioids. It’s an outpatient service as well.
All services are accredited by CARF, so you know they meet a standard level of care.
