About Elevations RTC – Syracuse
Elevations RTC is a residential treatment center that treats mental health concerns, behavioral health problems, and academic concerns. They treat adolescents of any gender between the ages of 13 and 18. You can find them in Syracuse, Utah, just north of Salt Lake City.
They are able to treat substance use and co-occurring disorders here while providing a normal school experience, setting kids up for wellness and success.
If your teen is experiencing substance use disorder, they’ll receive up to 25 hours of clinical contact each week that focuses on substance use recovery. This high level of interaction creates the adequate support needed for overcoming the effects of drug and alcohol addiction.
The overarching theme in every session is finding hope and acceptance. The care team takes a strength-based approach that builds teens’ confidence and helps them let go of self-destructive behaviors and beliefs.
Elevations also helps teens take responsibility for their choices and the effects of their actions. Kids can’t blame their unhealthy behavior patterns on their parents or friends and refuse to change – they learn about agency and the responsibility they have to make healthy choices.
Taking ownership of their behavior in this way is empowering. It sets them up for a life where they’re conscious of their actions and committed to making decisions that align with their values.
Something helpful about Elevations’ programming is the educational component. Because their focus is on teenagers, they’ve incorporated an accredited education program into their treatment process, helping teens keep up with school and graduate on time. This means that kids don’t have to choose between school or their mental health, they can prioritize both.
