About Elmhurst Homes – Detroit
Elmhurst Home is located in Detroit, Michigan. Their James Oden Center offers prevention, residential, and outpatient treatment to men who’re seeking treatment for their substance use disorder or behavioral health struggles. As a certified community behavioral health clinic, you’ll have access to a range of services including traditional and evidence-based practices. There’s a separate center for women.
The residential program is gender specific and offers both short-term and long-term stays. As you and the other guys move through the program, you’ll be supported by individual and group therapy, work therapy, life skills training, computer skills training, GED literacy programs, and other support.
The outpatient program connects you to the same resources and others in a less restrictive environment. There are varying types of outpatient including intensive outpatient treatment. Through the outpatient programs, you’ll be supported through psychiatric evaluations, case management, medicine review, education, and transportation.
They stand out to me in that they provide care to all individuals regardless of their ability to pay. This facility offers discounted and sliding-scale fees to help alleviate the financial burden that is often associated with recovery.
