About Empire Recovery Center – Redding
Empire Recovery Center is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Redding, California. They offer both inpatient and outpatient services to people suffering from substance use disorder and opioid use disorder. They treat dual diagnosis for people who have mental health conditions and substance use issues concurrently.
If you want to participate in the detox program here, you must have a clearance from a local emergency room, and it must have been issued to you 24 hours before you arrive. Detox can take anywhere from 3 to 7 days. Their detox program is non medical, but they can give you the proper dose of any prescriptions that you have. Unlike some rehab programs, they don’t allow smoking.
They have a residential program here that is 30 to 90 days. You will not have any distractions for the first 90 days that you are there. One thing I liked is the variety of therapies that they have. In addition to traditional behavioral treatment, they use motivational interviewing. This is where a therapist just asks you questions and listens to you in a nonjudgmental way to help determine the best way to motivate you. You’ll participate in group and individual sessions.
They also have outpatient services here, but those services are based in another facility. You can come in for therapy once or twice a week or more if it is needed. They even host Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, which is really convenient.
