About Evans abode – Fort Worth
ABODE Treatment (which stands for Adult Basic Opportunity Development Environment) is a chemical dependency program. It was founded in 1994 and caters to folks involved in the criminal justice system and others who are grappling with addiction.
They have locations in Dallas, Abilene and Fort Worth, Texas.
This Black-owned business was named the best addiction treatment center in Fort Worth, Texas by Newsweek. They also earned the 5th top spot in all of Texas.
Clients can get residential and outpatient treatment as well as recovery and re-entry services.
Online reviews skew towards negative comments. Past clients or family members bemoan the treatment they received from staff, the facilities and offerings and sometimes the ethics. A few people had excellent things to say about the exceptional counselors who went above and beyond, though.
ABODE understands that many people involved in the criminal justice system use or abuse drugs. These folks also often have social developmental deficiencies and have had educational disadvantages.
ABODE works to give these clients appropriate treatment including social and vocational skills to succeed in society.
I appreciate that all their programs are run by qualified credentialed counselors. These clinicians are licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Their outpatient programs can be tailored to meet the needs of each client. However, they generally include two hours of group counseling every week. Participants get one hour of individual counseling every month as well.
While some outpatient programs run for 16 weeks, this one generally takes 6 to 12 months. I like that it gives clients more time to develop the skills they need to be successful in their recovery.
