Family & Children’s Services – Gail Lapidus Center is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This organization offers 72 comprehensive programs to support vulnerable children and families who are dealing with the effects of mental illness and or addiction. They provide 24/7 help with crisis stabilization, and one of their main goals is to help divert women from the criminal justice system. This particular location specializes in helping with child and adolescent substance abuse and psychiatric services, plus mental health programming. They have a trauma focused outpatient program for children as well as outpatient programs focused on a broad range of mental health needs for children, adults and families.
With every program and service they provide their goals are to heal children and strengthen families who have dealt with or are dealing with trauma, mental illness and or co-occurring substance abuse problems. There’s also a program here that provides comprehensive treatment to nonviolent women who can participate in this program instead of serving time in jail.
All services here are available even if you’re uninsured or underinsured, regardless of your income level. They also have both English and Spanish speaking staff members if needed, and they offer other translation services upon request. On top of their regular daily hours, many of their locations offer evening appointments.
Former patients here have said the therapists are amazing, understanding and compassionate. While some have reported scheduling issues with psychiatrists, clients have said the staff does a wonderful job providing all services.
