About Family Guidance Centers – Joliet
The residential program is for individuals aged 18 and older who are unable to function in daily life due to addiction or other mental health concerns. The program is appropriate for individuals who require more intensive treatment than the outpatient treatment program provides. This program uses a personalized approach that may include medication-assisted treatment, evidence-based treatment interventions, individual counseling, and group counseling.
The intensive outpatient program generally meets three times per week for three hours at a time. Treatment begins with an assessment and a treatment plan assigned to each client. Individual counseling, group counseling, social support services, employment services, legal support, toxicology testing, recovery goal setting, and referral services are provided. Once a person completes the intensive outpatient portion of the program, they may step down into a traditional outpatient level of care. Medication-assisted treatment services are available at this stage of care.
Family Guidance Centers accepts most insurance plans. These may include Aetna, Cigna, Wellmark, and Beacon. If a person wants to use insurance, they are encouraged to contact their provider first because out of network benefits may vary.
